An exclusive interview with Karen Wiesner
Where do you live?
Where can fans write to you?
What was your inspiration?
The Mistletoe Marriages anthology was something I came up with when a lot of other authors were talking about e-authors getting together and putting together their own anthologies, then submitting them to the publisher of their choice. First, I outlined my own holiday story "Silver Bells, Wedding Bells", which came to me in part from watching the movie MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING--only I wanted my heroine to get her man. Then I queried some other authors about the project, we each came up with short blurbs for our stories, compiled them and submitted them to DiskUs. Less than 24 hours later, we had an acceptance. It was a thrill for me to work with such a talented group--Jane, Rickey and Leta. I hope to work with them again in the future. Maybe a Mistletoe Marriages II??? : )
What's your writer's day like?
When I've finished outlining a book, I write one scene a day, Monday through Friday, no more, no less.
What are your hobbies?
Collecting CDs, books, reading and listening to music. I love making soundtracks of my novels.
What kind of music to you enjoy?
Hard rock, also blues, heavy metal and classical.
